Lena

Last night our dear sister Lena went to be with the Lord. She's been a part of our fellowship for 5 years, and a big blessing and an example to all of us. Lena was born with cerebral palsy and spent all of 36 years of her life in a wheel chair unable to move freely and care for her own physical needs. Her mind has always been sharp though, and she had saving faith in Christ. She'll be missed, but what a relief it must be for her to leave those years of disability behind and have full joy in the presence of Christ!
"But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings" Malachi 4:2

WOW Russia!
A fellow UkrBlogger linked to a website that is seriously worth checking out.
I personally feel that it is one of the more enjoyable web creations I have come across.
It is funny, informative, culturally enlightening, well designed, and in general a great idea.

Lviv
What a cool city to relax in together.
Just a courtyard...

Praying on the side of a 600 year old church

Modern and historical meet...

Armenian Cathedral built in 1370.

City Square from a bell tower

Lviv is full of little hole-in-the-wall coffee shops. This one wasn't very tourist oriented since about half the items on the menu were in a local dialect i couldn't understand. That actually made it more fun :)

Local trends..... occasionally you can see girls on the street wear this crazy royal blue: mostly shoes, tights or purses.... i think it's one of lviv's city colors. So, i guess there is a way to be patriotic with a loud fashion statement.

9 years
Thursday, April 09, 2009
This month marks the 9 year point of living in Ukraine. 9 years is a solid chunk of time.
Weird.
I never would have thought I would have spent my entire adult life in Eastern Europe.
